Thinking Cows brings a "whole farm" approach to farm management, herd fertility and animal health -- taking your preferences and working methods into account when providing independent nutritional and animal health advice for dairy stock of all ages.

Thinking Cows adapts its services to suit each individual farm and farmer, and aims to promote the highest standards of animal welfare and to prevent animal production problems.

Thinking Cows sells no food products or additives -- you receive independent advice.

Thinking Cows provides services including:

  • The evaluation and feeding of conserved pasture as hay and silage
  • Advice on the use of non-conventional feedstuffs
  • Advice on the use of concentrates, production modifiers, buffers, vitamins and minerals
  • Computer-aided ration formulation
  • Development of an economic approach to the feeding of cattle based on sound economic objectives
  • Monthly newsletter with articles of interest
